Learning how to share Christ with all those around you.

There must be a misunderstanding somewhere if Jesus said that “He came to give us life and life more abundantly,” and then commanded us to go and share the Gospel, the very thing that brings fear, dread and feelings of inadequacy to most Christians when it should be the most exciting and natural thing a Christian does.

“Go Ye” is a personal evangelism class that will impact and mobilize Christians to fulfill the Great Commission while building their faith and confidence. One of the most joyous things a Christian can do is share the saving grace of God through Jesus Christ.

With over twenty-five years of personal evangelism experience, I have pieced together a quick eight-hour teaching that will whet the appetite of the students as it builds their faith in God. “Go Ye” teaches that the Holy Spirit is the evangelist. He alone has the power to convict of sin and change a life. This takes the pressure off of the students as they see God working through them. There is a disconnect in the Church when it sees personal evangelism as a chore and a pain when, in truth, it is the most natural thing a Christian can do. It should be a joy to share with unbelievers what Jesus Christ has done in their lives and what He wants to do for them: that they serve a living God that is intimate and active in their lives, that they receive peace and joy and confidence in the difficulties of life because Jesus lives within them, and that He is always available to give directions and empower them to overcome the hardest of times. What makes personal evangelism a hard taskmaster is when we try to win souls in our own power without the Holy Spirit.
When you understand the truth of what God calls us to do and understand what He said He would do in response to our obedience in sharing Christ, personal evangelism is without a doubt the most exciting, faith-building, rewarding thing a Christian can do.

The purpose of this class is to help you to experience the presence and power of the Holy Spirit as He works through you to reach a lost and dying world. It is to build faith in His presence in your life in everyday situations and to grow intimate with your Saviour as you work with Him…not for Him.
